인간 스스로 생산한 인위 물질량은 지속적으로 증가하여 2020년 지구의 생물 총질량을 넘어섰습니다. 지구 상의 생물 중 무게로는 0.01%를 차지하는 인간이 생태계에 엄청난 영향을 미치고 있는 단적인 모습입니다. 인간은 자신의 영향력을 확대하기 위해 멈추지 않고 질주했으며 그 활동은 다른 생물의 존재를 끊임없이 감소시켰습니다. 본 전시는 ‘바다’를 유목민의 언어인 '노탁(НУТАГ)'으로 부르기를 제안하며 비인간의 고향으로서의 바다를 사유하고자 합니다. 전시에서 사용된 ‘노탁’이라는 단어는 유목민의 주기적인 이동 속에서 자신과 관계가 있는 자연공간을 지칭하며 고향이라는 개념을 가집니다. 노탁을 자연과의 공존, 즉 인간 이외의 대상과 공존을 추구하는 시선이자 관계 개념으로 제시합니다. 그리고 이를 가상공간 속 각종 사례와 작품을 통해 함께 찾아나가기를 권하며 인간 중심적 사고에 대한 성찰을 제안합니다.
