사람은 말, 글, 몸짓 등 다양한 방식으로 소통합니다. 우리는 그 소통방식을 ‘언어’라고 합니다. 많은 사람들이 공통된 언어 안에서 소통하지만, 때로는 그 소통이 ‘잘’ 되지 않아 어려움을 느낄 때도 있고 오해를 받을 때도 있습니다. 비장애인 중심의 언어 세계에서 발달장애인이 소통하는 ‘언어’가 보편적이지 않고 다름으로 인해 때로는 오해를 받는 경우가 있습니다. 강남세움복지관에서 준비한 두 번째 아우름 AURUM 전시는 사람들이 소통하는 다양한 ‘언어’를 그림이라는 매개를 통해 전달하면 어떨까? 다양한 소통방식인 언어를 발달장애인이 그림으로 자유롭게 표현해보면 어떨까?에서 출발했습니다. 아우름 AURUM 두 번째전시 ‘언어 BE언어 존재하다’는 사람들이 소통하는 언어표현은 ‘다양’하게 존재하며, 소통하는 모든 표현은 ‘언어로 존재하다(BE : 있다, 존재하다)’는 의미를 담고 있으며, 김경섭, 김수, 박세준, 최승완 4명의 발달장애인 창작자의 언어로 전달하고자 하였습니다.
